Located in Melbourne, Florida, Pure Captive encompasses my vision of a self-sustaining reef keeping hobby. With more and more hobbyists setting up propagation tanks, along with sharing the information and ability to have our corals grow and thrive under our care, I feel we are smack dab in the middle of a revolution. Conscience minded aquarists are aware of the degradation of the natural reefs. As a result, the number of fully captive stocked reef tanks has never been higher.

My goal is not to become the largest, but simply the finest choice for captive raised corals around. Each time a coral is fragged and passed on to another reefer, all parties involved should feel very proud of their accomplishment. 10 years ago, most reef tanks were stocked with wild collected corals. Currently, even the countries with the largest amount of wild coral exports are directing efforts towards mariculture. They understand this will create both a sustainable hobby, and a sustainable income for their families on the islands.
